God Gives Supernatural Joy
Backgrounder on Psalms 13-18:
In contrast to the fate of the
fool who denies God’s existence
(Ps 14) many blessings accrue
to the one who serves God with
a whole heart: joyfulness (Ps 13),
fellowship with God (Ps 15),
satisfaction (P16), preservation (17)
& confidence in facing future (P18)
Lord, we receive Inheritance & Joy:
Lord, You alone are my inheritance,
my cup of blessing. You guard
all that is mine. The land you
have given me is a pleasant land.
What a Wonderful Inheritance…
You will not leave my soul in Sheol…
You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of Joy.
At Your right hand are pleasures
forevermore (Psa 16:5-6, 10-11).
Father God, enable us to walk in
the reality that U are our promised
cup of blessing & true inheritance.
Grant us deeper understanding
of the riches of the glory and
inheritance that you have in us.
May we leave a rich inheritance
of faith, hope and love to those
who come after us. Amen.
Lord Jesus, You came to give
us a full and meaningful life.
Forgive me for being so busy with
earthly stuff that I fail to seek You.
Forgive me for the times I settle
for a dull, boring & routine life.
For You want to give me a rich,
satisfying and abundant life.
Holy Spirit,I need the joy that U can
give. Forgive me for the times I let
circumstances control my moods.
Let me experience your presence
and the thrill of walking with You.
And when I allow You to reign
in my life, You will fill me
with Supernatural Joy. And
I’ll Shout to the Lord with Joy!!
