Thanking God for It’s Right (Jan 1)
Friends, Happy New Year !!
We start the new year by doing
the Right Thing, by Thanking God.
Often our prayers can degenerate
into list of needs presented to God.
Whilst I believe God loves to hear
about our needs, I also believe
that He loves for us to pray back
His Promises; pray commitment
and surrender to Him; as well as
to pray Praise and Thanksgiving!!
We have been utilising Scripture
to form prayers so that we learn
to think as God thinks; and pray
in a way that is pleasing to Him.
With Scripture as our guide, we’ll
also have balance in our prayers.
Having prayed Thro the Scripture
on Knowing Him, Praising Him,
claiming His Promises and Seeking
His Truths,we start 2019 with series
on Thanking God thro the Scripture.
Lord, we purpose to Thank You God
for it is the only Right thing to do:
for Gratitude sake, for it’s Your Will
and for we Belong to You. Amen.
Lord God, I’m truly Grateful to You
and want to bless Your holy name
and never forget all Your Benefits.
For it’s You Lord who forgives all
my iniquities and who redeems me.
For You Lord is gracious, slow to
anger and abounding in mercy.
For it’s You Lord who heals me,
and who satisfies me with good
things to refresh me. Bless the Lord
O my soul (Psa 103:2-8). Amen.
Lord, You’ve warned us the danger
of Not Glorifying You as God and
Being Unthankful for it can lead to
debased mind with serious effects
of unrighteousness (Rom 1:21-29).
And in accordance to Your Word,
I purpose to rejoice always and
in everything Give Thanks; for
this is the Will of God in Christ
for me (I Thess 5:16-18). Amen.
Father God, we Belong to You for
You made us & not we ourselves.
We are indeed Your people and
also the sheep of Your pasture.
And we will enter Your gates with
thanksgiving and into Your courts
with praise. We purpose to be
Thankful to You & bless Your name.
For You Lord is good & Your mercy
is everlasting (Ps 100:3-5) Amen.
