All the Way My Saviour Leads Me
Backgrounder: ‘Jesus doeth
all things well.’ It wasn’t easy
for Fanny Crosby to believe that.
When she was only six weeks
old in 1820, she lost her sight
because of a doctor’s error.
This particular hymn was written
on a day when Crosby needed
five dollars and didn’t know
where she would get it.
She prayed about it and a few
minutes later a stranger came
to her door and handed her that
exact amount. She was amazed
at the Lord’s marvellous answer
to her simple prayer. She wrote:
It is sometimes wonderful
the way the Lord leads me,
partly inspired by Psalm 48.Lord, we will follow your leading:
O God, we meditate on your
unfailing love as we worship
in your temple. As your name
deserves, O God, you will be
praised to the ends of the earth.
Yr strong right hand is filled with
victory… He is our God forever
and ever. And he will guide us
until we die (Psa 48:9-10, 14).Dear Lord Jesus, Thank You
for being our Savior, and for
loving, caring and leading us.
Thank You for Watching over us:
For eyes eyes of the LORD are
toward me and His ears are
open to my cry (Psa 34:15).
Thank U for yr hand is Covering over us:
The Lord will Cover me with his wings;
I will be safe
in His care; for His faithfulness
will protect me (Psa 91:4).
Thank you we can take Refuge
in U to find Safety, Help and Rest:
The Lord is my fortress, in whom
I find protection. He is my shield,
& my place of Safety (Psa 18:1-2)
God is my refuge, a very present
Help in trouble (Psa 46:1).
Your presence will go with me,
and U give me Rest (Exo 33:14).
Savior, tks for promises of Care,
and we claim Your Covering
Protection, Provision and Rest
for all of us and our loved ones.
In Jesus mighty name, Amen.All the way my Savior leads me;
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy,
Who thro life has been my guide
Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,
Here by faith in Him to dwell!
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well,
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well.All the way my Savior leads me;
Cheers each winding path I tread
Gives me grace for ev’ry trial,
Feeds me with the living bread:
Though my weary steps may falter,
And my soul athirst may be,
Gushing from the Rock before me
Lo a spring of joy I see;
Gushing from the Rock before me
Lo a spring of joy I see.
