Thanksgiving in Psalm 34 (Feb 1)

Thk God for Freeing Us From Fears

Psalms 31-36 show how Proper
Perspective can help you face
any circumstance. It can bring
you from gloom to glory (P31);
from failure to deliverance (P32);
fr false security to secured trust(33
from Affliction to Adoration (34);
from persecution to praise (35);
and from darkness to light (36).

Lord, You Deliver When We Pray:
I sought the Lord & he heard me
& delivered me from all my fears.
They look to Him and were
radiant, and their faces were not
ashamed…The angels of the Lord
encamps all around those who
fear Him, and delivers them.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord
is good, blessed is the man
who trusts in Him (Psa 34:4-8).

Lord, we give You all our fears
and anxieties over finances,
work, health or relationships; and
look to You for help. Do a deep
work in my heart on those things
that strike fear in me. I lay these
burdens and worries before You
and ask You to exchange my
fear for faith. Thank You for
Your promise to answer me
when I call on You, to free me
from fear and shame and to
make me radiant with joy. Amen.

Lord, Your Word in Psalm 34
says when the righteous cry out,
You will hear them; and deliver
them from all their troubles.
You Lord is near to those who
have a Broken Heart and saves
such as have a contrite spirit.
The righteous person may have
many troubles, but You deliver
from them all. So Lord help me
to always look to You, to fear
You and to trust in You. Amen.

Lord, there is Joy, Not Shame,
for the troubled soul who looks
to You in faith. When I am in trouble
keep me from the temptation
to take matters into my own hands.
Rather than devising some kind
of human scheme to avoid trouble,
give me the courage to really trust
in You. And when I fail, keep me
from burying myself in shame.
Instead prompt me to turn back
to You so that I might know your
forgiveness and peace. Amen.
