Thanksgiving in Psalm 18 (Jan 29)

Thank God In Whom I Can Trust

Backgrounder on Psalms 13-18:
Many blessings accrue to those
who serve God wholeheartedly:
joy (P13), fellowship with God (P15)
satisfaction (P16), preservation (17)
& confidence in facing future (P18)
Psalm 18 was written by David
on the day that the Lord delivered
him from the hand of his enemies &
fr the hand of Saul (2Sam 22:1-4)

Lord, You are the One I Can Trust:
I will love You O Lord my strength.
The Lord is my rock and my
fortress and my Deliverer; My God
my strength In Who I Will Trust.
My shield and the strength of
my salvation, my stronghold.
I will call upon the Lord, who is
worthy to be praised; for he saves
me from my enemies (Ps 18:1-3)
In my distress I called upon the
Lord, and cried out to my God;
He heard my voice (Ps 18:6).
Blessed be my Rock! Let the God
of my salvation be exalted (v46).

Lord, be my rock, my fortress,
my security when everything
around me is troubled or insecure.
When I am overwhelmed with
difficulties, be my rock, my source
of security in an uncertain world.
When I am in danger, Lord be my
stronghold where I find protection.
Help me to trust You to carry me
throughout each day of my life.

Lord, thank you that U are a God
that hears and answers prayers.
Thank you that You act on behalf
of those who seek you for help.
Be my strength when I am weak &
make me steady when I am unsure.
And I bless you and praise you
at all times for you are faithful and
a very present help in time of need.
In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

Lord You are the one
In whom I can trust
You are the Rock I can stand upon
Every step of the way
You take my hand and say
U always be here right beside me
When I call on U;U will come to me
U are my Lord In whom I can trust
You are my fortress
You’re my deliverer
My shield, my strength
For all of my days
I place my hope in Jesus
Who loved me with his life
The Rock of my salvation
In whom I can trust. Amen.
