God Will Provide Your Needs
Backgrounder on Matthew 5-7:
Jesus claimed to be the Messiah,
the king of the Jews. And this
section traditionally called the
Sermon on the Mount, presents
His statement of heaven.
Relationship to God (rather than
adherence to ritual) and inward
attitude (not outward action)
become the focus of His message.
Lord,You’ll Take Care of Our Needs:
Do not worry saying: What Shall
We Eat..or What shall we wear? For
the pagans run after these things
and Your Heavenly Father knows
that you need them. But Seek
First the Kingdom of God and
His righteousness, and all these
things will be given to you as well.
Therefore Do Not Worry about
tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry
about itself (Matt 6:31-34). Amen
Lord, your Word promises that
we don’t need to worry about
our basic needs for You God will
provide them. And we can live
cheerfully day-to-day when we
keep Yr kingdom as key concern.
Lord, I confess to sometime worry
over issues beyond my control.
Give me the right perspective.
Help me see the difference
between needs and wants. And
please transform my life. Amen.
Lord, you are all knowing
and You know all my needs.
I praise you for knowing all things
including every detail of my
situation. Nothing surprises u ever.
Thank you for caring so much
and being so good. Help me
to seek You first, to trust your
gracious promise & to keep from
worrying about the future. Amen.
Lord, thank you for providing
for my every need. Thank you
that I don’t have to spend my days
consumed with worry; but I can
be consumed with You and
your kingdom. No need enters
my life for which you have not
already planned and provided.
I choose to Keep anxiety from
cluttering my heart, and instead
let it be filled with You. Amen.
