Coming of the Son of God
(Prayer Walk thro John 1-2)
Backgrounder: Matthew, Mark and
Luke are called synoptic gospels
because they contain much of
the same material. By contrast
John, the supplementary gospel
provides a fourth dimension of
Jesus’ life and ministry. Fully 92%
of John’s material is not found in
any other gospel account. John
writes to convince his readers
Who Jesus is (the Son of God)
and how new life can be found
in Him (20:30-31). He begins in
eternity past, showing how the
Word who was one with God (1:1)
became flesh in order to take His
message of life to mankind. And
in chapter 2 shows His Authority
over Nature and over the Temple.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you
for Coming to mankind as the
Son of God. Because of that
we have God as Heavenly Father;
we have Your Presence among us;
we have Gracious Blessings and
we have Revelation of Father. Amen
Lord, You are the Son of God:
Yet to all who did receive Him,
to those who believed in His
name, He gave the right to
become children of God (Jn 1:12).
And the Word became flesh and
dwelt among us, and we beheld
His glory, the glory as of the
only begotten of the Father,
full of grace and truth (v14).
From His abundance we have
all received one gracious
blessing after another (v16).
No one has ever seen God. But
His only Son, who is himself God,
is near to the Father’s heart;
He has told us about him (v18).
Lord, U are our Heavenly Father:
Yet to all who did receive Him,
to those who believed in His
name, He gave the right to
become children of God (Jn 1:12).
Lord Jesus, I do believe in You
and I have accepted you as my
Savior and Master. Thank you
for revealing yourself to me.
Thank you for saving me.
Because of your grace & my faith,
I am a child of the living God
and I praise you for the privilege.
What joy to know in every situation
I have a loving and wise Heavenly
Father to counsel me. Amen.
Lord, we have Your Presence:
And the Word became flesh and
dwelt among us, and we beheld
His glory, the glory as of the
only begotten of the Father,
full of grace and truth (v14).
Lord, as a believer in You and
being one of your people,
I am destined to live with you
forever. Despite the promise
that You are always with me,
sometimes I can’t sense your
presence. So encourage me and
sustain me with the promise that
one day I will see you face to face.
I will dwell with you forever. Amen.
Lord, we’ve Yr Gracious Blessings:
From His abundance we have
all received one gracious
blessing after another (v16).
Lord Jesus, thankfulness and
gratitude fill me when I think
of the fullness of my salvation.
Open my eyes to behold how
utterly immense your love is.
Grant me to experience your
incomprehensible love more fully.
Make me complete with all
the fullness of life and power
that comes from You. Amen.
Lord, we’ve Revelation of Father:
No one has ever seen God. But
His only Son, who is himself God,
is near to the Father’s heart;
He has told us about him (v18).
Lord Father, I praise U for revealing
yourself in your Son Jesus.
Wipe off the lens of my heart that
I may see you accurately and love
You more each day. Thank you
for your word, which reveals
Your love and your purpose
for my life. Thank you for Jesus,
who has made it possible for me
to have clearer vision with
which to see you. Amen.
