God Promises With His Name !
Backgrounder on Psalms 135-139:
These psalms about praising God.
Sometimes it’s easy to praise
the Lord simply by recalling the
past (P135-136); at other times
memories of the past produce
more pain than praise (P137).
But even times of trouble & tears
can be cause of praise (P138)
as you think about the infinite
knowledge & unceasing presence
of your omnipotent God (P139).
Lord,we receive Yr Caring Promises:
I will give thanks to Your Name for
your unfailing love & faithfulness,
because Your Promises are Backed
by all the honour of Your Name.
In the day when I cried out,
You answered me, and made me
bold with strength (Ps 138:2-3).
Though the Lord is great, He
Cares for the humble, but keeps
his distance from the proud (v6).
Father God, thank U for Backing Your Promises by the honor
of Your Name. It is a mighty,
powerful and trustworthy name!
And I give thanks to You for your
unfailing love and faithfulness.
Help me move forward under your
direction in the light of yr unfailing
and precious promises. Amen.
Lord Jesus, I revere Your Name,
the name above all names.
You are the Bread of Life.
You are the Light of the World,
You are the Good Shepherd.
You are the Resurrection & the Life.
You are the Way, Truth & the Life.
You are the Great “I Am.”
And I declare my confidence
in all your promises that are
fully backed by Your Name! Amen.
Lord, I know where I stand before U
-I’m not worthy of your Care and
favour, but You give it anyway.
I accept it as a gift – a free gift
based entirely on Your goodness
and not my merit. I know You
don’t have to bless me, but I’m
so glad you do. And I’ll remain
forever Grateful. And I purpose
to put my trust in You. Amen.
Lord Jesus in Your Name we pray
Come and fill our hearts today
Lord, give us strength to live
for You and glorify Your Name.
Your Name is a strong
and mighty tower
Your Name
is a shelter like no other
Your Name,
let the nations sing it louder
‘Cause nothing has the power
to save but Your Name!! Amen.
