Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
just a sneak preview that
we will be meditating over
this weekend on Leviticus,
the third book of the Bible.
At the foot of Mount Sinai,
God is teaching the Israelites
how to live as holy people.
Holiness is mentioned more times
(152) than in any other book of
the Bible. The theme verse is:
Be Holy because I the Lord
your God, am holy (Lev 19:2).
Holiness is an integral part of
the nature of God and we need
to understand its full implications
so that we know how to respond
appropriately to a holy God.
Yet Leviticus is perhaps the
most “dreaded” book of the Bible.
Let’s invest just five minutes to
gain fresh insights on holiness.
For better perspective on
our meditation, we will cover
Leviticus over two sittings:
Lev 1-17: Worshipping a Holy God
Lev 18-27: Living a Holy Life
Join me in Leviticus. Look out for it!
Shalom/Chris
