We have just ended our series of
weekday meditation on Names
of God which reveals God’s
character and his ability to meet
the needs of his people. Hope
that those devotion prayers have
not only boost your Knowledge
of God but also Encourage you
and help you to Talk to Him.
For a better appreciation of Who
God Is & What He can do for you,
I list the prayers for last fortnight:
21: Presence of the Lord
20: Shield, Rock & Refuge
19: Provider, Healer & Shepherd
18: Righteousness, Peace & Joy
17: Saviour, Redeemer & Deliverer
14: Father, Son & Holy Spirit
13: Lord, Master & King
12: Perfectly All Loving God
11: Holy, Truthful & Sanctifying
10: Strong, Almighty, Creator God
And just a sneak preview that
starting this week we will be
meditating on Classic Hymns.
To help myself recall a day’s QT,
it has been my practise to mark
in the Bible either a hymn or
spiritual song that best reflects
the day’s theme & hum it along.
I also find humming or singing
help in meditating God’s Word.
U may like to try & do the same.
Unlike the previous series on
Names of God which are virtually
all from the OT, the hymns drew
inspiration mostly from the NT.
They will be covered in 6 phases:
Psalms: 10
Prophets: 5
John Gospel: 5
Paul Letters: 15
Other Letters: 10
Closing Selection: 15
Pray that God’s Word and the
hymns will minister to our soul.
