Trusting God In Rev 15 (Dec 28)

God Is Almighty & Marvellous

Backgrounder on Revelation 8-16:
The 7th seal is broken, revealing
7 Trumpets. As each is sounded,
natural and heavenly disasters…
result: hail, fire, darkness…
Then Seven angels emerge
with the seven last plagues, which
involve… scorching heat, pain,
earthquakes & titanic confrontation
at a place called Armageddon.
But then there’s hope for we have
a God Who is Great & Marvellous.

Lord, You are Great & Marvelous:
Then I saw another sign in heaven:
seven angels having the seven
last plagues, firing them the wrath
of God is complete (Rev 15:1).
And I saw… those who have the
victory over the beast..They sing the
song of Moses & song of the Lamb:
Great and Marvellous are Your
actions, Lord God Almighty.
Just and true are Your ways,
O King of the nations. Who will
not fear O Lord & Glorify Your name?
For You alone are holy. All nations
will come and worship before You
for Your righteous deeds have
been revealed (Rev 15:2-4).
The temple was filled with
smoke from the glory of God
and from His power (v8). Amen.

Lord, this song was sang by Moses
as the Israelites celebrated their
deliverance from Egypt and will be
sung at the end of times when the
redeemed of the Lord are gathered
after their victory over forces of evil.
Help us realize You are in control
even in the midst of challenges.
And praise You for the marvellous
deeds You be executing to bring
about Your purposes on earth. Amen

O Lord God Almighty, Your deeds
are great and marvelous. You are
King of the nations & Lord of my life!
You alone are holy and worthy to
receive adoration, glory and honour
May the things that distract me
and excuses for not abiding in You
fade in the light of Your glory.
Fill my heart with a sense of
Your greatness and majesty.
I adore You Christ the Lord. Amen

Lord, the revelation on end times
is both a warning to Christians
who have grown apathetic and
an encouragement to those who
faithfully endure life’s struggles.
It reassures us that good will
triumph over evil, give us hope
as we face difficulties and gives
guidance when we waver in faith.
Lord, our prayers rise up to You;
and we will Overcome with You;
for You’re Great & Marvelous.Amen

Hearing God In Numbers 14 (Jun 4)

Choosing Faith In God, Not Doubt

Following the Lord’s instructions,
Moses selects one rep from each
of the 12 tribes to form a scouting
party. Their assignment: to spy out
the defenses of the land and bring
back a sample of the produce.
The 12 return with a divided report!
Ten see only the obstacles while
two see opportunities. The nation
disheartened & faithless, threatens
to stone Moses and return to Egypt
rather than face what lies ahead.
As a result, God condemns that
unbelieving generation to forty
years wandering the wilderness.
Lord, help us see thro Eyes of Faith.
Help us not treat U with Contempt.
Help us Not to Doubt You. Amen.

Lord,we’ll Choose Faith Not Doubt:
Two of men who had explored the
land, Joshua and Caleb, said to
the community of Israel: The land
we explored is a wonderful land!
And if the Lord is pleased with us,
He will bring us safely into that land
and give it to us… Do not rebel
against the Lord and don’t be
afraid of the people of the land…
The Lord is with us (Num 14:6-9).
The Lord said to Moses: How long
will these people treat me with
contempt? Will they never believe
Me, even after all the miraculous
signs I’ve done among them (v11).
I have forgiven them as you asked.
Because these men who have seen
My glory and the signs I did in
Egypt and in the wilderness and
have put Me to the test 10 times
and have not heeded My voice,
they shall not see the land which
I swore to their fathers (N14:19-23)

Lord, open my spiritual eyes to
see those exceedingly good things
in my path. Forgive me for focusing
on the problems around me.
As I keep my eyes on You and
the purpose You’ve put before me,
may I go forth in faith, not in fear,
so that I don’t miss the beauty
and blessings each day. Amen.

Lord, it is so easy to let our
hearts be affected by negativity.
And I confess that I tend to live
by sight and not by faith. Please
help me reverse that tendency.
I purpose to hang on to Your truth,
even when it may contradict
the visible world and circumstance.
For I want to be a believer in
every way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord, just as U delivered Your pple
out of Egypt, and You forgave them
and provided what they needed
every step of the way, I turn to You
for deliverance & forgiveness & ask
that You will provide for my needs.
Help me to never doubt that
You will always give me the
light I need for each step I take.
In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

Thanksgiving In Rom 15 (April 12)

Thank God for Overflowing Hope

What u believe affect how u behave
For 11 chapters Paul has set forth
the doctrine of the Christian faith.
The balance of his letter moves
into the practical outworking of
that faith. For every assignment,
there is a enablement from God:
Serve one another using the gifts
God gave you; be subject to higher
authorities; be sensitive to needs
of weaker brothers; be united
in purpose & have mind of Christ.

Lord, fill us with Joy, Peace & Hope:
Therefore receive one another
just as Christ also received us…
Jesus Christ has become a servant
to the circumcision for the truth
of God, to confirm the promises
made to the fathers, and that the
Gentiles might glorify God for His
mercy… May the God of Hope fill
you with all joy and peace as you
trust Him so that u may Overflow
with Hope by the power of the
Holy Spirit (Rom 15:7-13). Amen.

Lord, it is difficult to be peaceful
when facing difficult situations.
I need and want to overflow with
confident hope; and I appropriate
Apostle Paul’s prayer as my own.
As I continue to believe in You
and trust You, fill me with Your
peace, keep me happy and let me
overflow with hope through the
power of Your Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord, help me to resist the things
that will minimise my strength or
deplete my soul. Fill me instead
with Your hope, peace and joy,
so much so that they overflow
from me to others. I praise You
for who You are and thank You
that as I do, Your Spirit pours
new life into me. Fill me afresh
with Your Spirit this day and
take all hopelessness away. Amen

Lord, it’s a pretty grim world out
there, full of self-centred people
and news of gloom and doom.
And prolonged trials can also
cause us to doubt. Fill me to
overflowing with Hope as I turn
my heart to You. Fill me with hope
& restore me even as I trust in U.
Help me take my eyes off the
heavy problems as I hope in You
and wait upon You to act. Amen.

Jesus called out: Friends, have you
caught any fish? No, they replied.
Then he said: Throw out your net
on the right-hand side of the boat
and you’ll get plenty of fish!!
So they did, and they couldn’t
draw in the net because there
were so many fish in it (Jn 21:4-6)
(Peter) said: Lord, You know every
-thing. You know that I love You.
Jesus said:Then feed my sheep(17)
Peter…saw the disciple Jesus loved
…and asked Jesus: What about him
Lord? Jesus replied: If I want him to
remain until I return, what is that to
you? As for you, follow me (v20-22)

And Thomas answered and said
to Him: My Lord and my God!
Then Jesus told him: Blessed are
those who have Not Seen and
yet Have Believed (Jn 20:28-29).
The disciples saw Jesus do many
other miraculous signs in addition
to the ones recorded in this book.
But these are written so that
you may continue to Believe
that Jesus is the Messiah, the
Son of God, and that By Believing
in him you will Have Life by the
power of his name (v30-31) Amen.

Christ Models Finishing Mission

Lord,U Reach Out to those In Need:
(At the cross) when Jesus saw
his mother beside the disciple he
loved, He said to her: Dear woman,
here is your son. And he said to
this disciple: Here is your mother.
And from then on this disciple
took her into his home(Jn19:26-27)

now Finished and to fulfill the
Scriptures he said: I am thirsty…
So when Jesus had received the

Christ Loves & Cares for Failures

Lord, You Care & Rescue Failures:
Jesus knowing all things… went
forward and said: Whom are you
seeking? They answered: Jesus
of Nazareth… And Judas who
betrayed Him stood with them…
Jesus said I am He, if you seek me,
let these go their way (Jn 18:4-8).
As Simon Peter was standing
by the fire warming himself, they
asked him again: You’re one of
his disciples, are you? He denied
it saying: No, I am not. But one
of the household slaves of the
high priest, a relative of the man
whose ear Peter had cut off, asked:
Didn’t I see you out there in the
olive grove with Jesus? Again
Peter denied it. And immediately
a rooster crowed (Jn 18:25-27).

Christ’s Intercessory Prayer

The Upper Room Discourse
contains Jesus’ final words of
instruction and encouragement
to His disciples before His death.
Only John records these intimate
moments between Jesus & His men
as He models true humility (c13),
describes the Holy Spirit who will
comfort & empower them (c14-16)
and intercedes for Protection and
Unity of His disciples worldwide(17)

Lord, we pray for Unity among us:
I do not pray that You should take
them out of the world, but that You
should Keep Them fr the evil one.
They are not of the world, just as
I am not of the world. Sanctify them
by Your Truth… As You Sent Me
into the world. I also Have Sent
them into the world (Jn 17:15-18).
My prayer is not for them alone.
I pray also for those who will
believe in me thro their message,
that all of them May Be One…
that they also may be One In Us,
that the world may believe that
You sent me (Jn 17:20-21). Amen.
