God of Glory (March 3)
Overview: As David penned
Psalms 25-30, he would have
thought of the multifaceted
character of the God he served.
The Lord is good and upright (25:8),
my light (27:1), my strength (28:7),
King forever (29:10) and
my God (30:2).
All Praise be to God of Glory:
Give unto the Lord… mighty ones,
Give unto the Lord glory & strength.
Give unto the Lord the glory
due to His name; worship the
Lord in the beauty of holiness.
The voice of the Lord is over
the waters; the God of glory
(El Hakabodh) thunders, the Lord
thunders over the mighty waters.
The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is full
of majesty (Psalm 29:1-4).
Lord El Hakabodh, we praise You
for we see Your power and glory
throughout the whole creation.
Because of Jesus, we are able
to come into Your presence
to behold the glory of the Lord.
Transform us Lord into Your
image from one degree of glory
to another. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Lord El Hakabodh, You are
a jealous God who will not
share Your glory with another.
Forgive my shortsightedness in
not seeing Your glory thru Your creation, Your works and Your Word.
Forgive me for turning my eyes
to humanity for it is You who
will bring about deliverance. Amen.
Lord El Hakabodh, we will fear
only You for Your voice is powerful.
Keep me from getting in the way
of Your glory by being prideful
and trusting in my own strength.
As You delivered Joseph from
the pit, deliver me from anything
that stands against Your will.
In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
