Praying thro Genesis 3-5 (Jan 6)

God Desires Fellowship

The perfect environment into
which man was placed is now
shattered by the entrance of sin.
Satan, posing as the subtle serpent
challenges God’s only prohibition
on man’s use of the garden.
Disobedience follows as the first
family eats from the forbidden tree
and is expelled from the garden.
The results of their sin spread as
humankind and the whole creation
fall under the penalty of death.
Cain becomes the first murderer
& the downward spiral continues
from Adam to Noah paving the
way for God’s judgment upon
the wickedness of the world.

Lord, we praise U for your love,
making us in your image,
giving us freewill to obey you,
providing our every need and
wanting close fellowship with us.
Lord, thank you for not only
redeeming us from the penalty
of sin but also empowering us
from the effects of sin. Lord,
we purpose to Draw Near to You;
we purpose to Hear Your Voice &
we purpose to Walk with You. Amen

Lord, we will Hear Your Voice:
Now the serpent was more cunning
than any beast of the field which
the Lord God had made. And
he said to the woman: Has God
indeed said: You shall not eat of
every tree in the garden (Gen 3:1)
Lord, we spend much of our lives
in a battle to trust Your goodness
because the evil one constantly
cast doubts & misrepresent You.
I invite You to move my heart
and synchronise it with Yours.
I need to connect with You more;
for only your voice & revelation
can accomplish that. Give me
clear insights of Your will. Amen.

Lord, we will Draw Near to You:
Then the man and his wife heard
the sound of the Lord God as
He was walking in the garden
in the cool of the day, and they
hid from the Lord God among
the trees of the garden. But
the Lord God called to the man:
Where are you? (Gen 3:8-9).
Lord, l want to have a close
walk with You. Help me not
to forfeit that relationship by
being drawn toward the world.
Enable me to hear Your voice
calling me so that I will answer
without delay. And help me not
hide from U for any reason; but
instead seek your forgiveness
and draw near to You. Amen.

Lord, we purpose to Walk with U:
And after he became the father
of Methuselah, Enoch walked
with God 300 years and had other
sins and daughters. Altogether
Enoch lived 365 years. Enoch
walked with God; then he was
no more because God took
Him away. (Gen 5:22-24).
Father God, Thank you for the
gift of your presence. I am amazed
that you loved me so much that
you actually desire my presence.
Teach me more each day what
it means to walk with you. Amen.
