Praying thro Micah (Dec 24)

God Offers Pardon & Restoration
(Prayer Walk thro Micah 1-7)

Backgrounder: Sin had infiltrated
every segment of society with
injustice and oppression of poor.
Micah pleads with countrymen to
turn away from sin & back to God.
But the message falls on deaf ears
that will soon hear invading armies.
But within the hardness lies hope;
for when justice is done, God will
restore His people to covenant land

Dear Lord, your holiness calls for
judgment of sins but your mercy
offers pardon to all who repent.
Lord Jesus we welcome You;
we will Walk in Goodness and
we’ll Rise Out of Darkness. Amen.

Lord, we Welcome & Embrace You:
But you Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are little among the
thousands of Judah, yet out of u
shall come forth to Me the One
to be Ruler in Israel, whose
goings forth are from everlasting.
Therefore He shall give them up,
until the time that she who is
in labor has given birth; then
the remnant of His brethren
shall return (Micah 5:2-3).
Father, this Christmas we praise
You for loving me enough to send
Your only begotten Son to us.
We embrace the adventure of
living in your details, where the
seemingly small and insignificant
are actually eternal and exalted.
Help us to focus on your divine
strength and peace. Amen.

Lord, we will Walk in Goodness:
With what shall I come before the
Lord, and bow myself before the
High God? Shall I come with burnt
offerings with calves a year old?
He has shown you, O man what
is good; and what does the Lord
require of you but to do justly,
to love mercy and to walk humbly
with your God? (Micah 6:6-8).
Lord, you are not interested in
outward show, elaborate sacrifice
or religious acts. You want to
develop in us the heart response
of humility, mercy and justice.
Work these noble attitudes in us.
Thank you for showing us what
is good thro example of Your Son.
And help us through his Spirit
to abide daily in you. Amen.

Lord, we will Rise Out of Darkness:
I will look to the Lord; I will wait
for the God of my salvation;
My God will hear me…
Though I have fallen, I will rise.
Though I sit in darkness, the Lord
will be my light (Micah 7:7-8).
Lord, thank you that U delight to
show mercy & offers forgiveness
to all who come back to Him.
Thank you that even if I were
to fall off your path, you’ll always
be there to lift me up when I repent
Thank you that even if I sink into
darkness, U will be my light. Amen

Dear Lord, your holiness calls for
judgment of sins but your mercy
offers pardon to all who repent.
Help us Rise Out of Darkness for
U are our Light; and U delight to
show mercy & offers forgiveness
to all who come back to You.
Help us Walk in Goodness for
You are not interested in sacrifice
but want our heart response
of humility, mercy and justice.
Help us to focus on things eternal
even as we thank you Father
for loving us so much that
You send Your only Son to us
to be Emmanuel, God With Us.
In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
