Reflection on Genesis (Jan 7)

Adoring God thru Thanks & Praise

The purpose of Genesis is
to record God’s creation and
His desire to have a people
set apart to worship Him.
The first portion (chapter 1-11)
presents a wide-angle view of God’s
dealings from Creation to Babel,
a period characterized by human
faithfulness. But chapter 12-50
focus on God’s relationship
with one man (Abraham) and his descendants over the next four centuries, during which a nation is
founded and salvation is promised
for the fallen race of mankind.

On Monday, we learn from Rom 1:21
to adore God thru Thanks & Praise.
On Tuesday, we learn from Gen 1
that This Is My Father’s World.
On Wed, we learn from Gen 2
to Breathe on Me Breath of God.
On Thursday, we learn from Gen 17
about Almighty God El Shaddai.
On Friday, we learn from Gen 22
about Jehovah Jireh My Provider.
On Saturday, we learn from Gen 28
about Nearer My God To Thee.

Let us humble ourselves and pray
and seek His face. Help us O God
be Christ’s disciples who adore You:
For This Is Our Father’s World, and You’re Worthy of Thanks & Praise;
For You’re Almighty God El Shaddai
and Jehovah Jireh Our Provider;
For we seek the Breath of God
and be Nearer our God to Thee;
In Jesus’ precious nam, Amen.
