God Gives Supernatural Joy
Backgrounder on Psalms 13-18: In contrast to the fate of the fool who denies God’s existence (Ps 14) many blessings accrue to the one who serves God with a whole heart: joyfulness (Ps 13), fellowship with God (Ps 15), satisfaction (P16), preservation (17) & confidence in facing future (P18)
Lord, we receive Inheritance & Joy:
Lord, You alone are my inheritance,
my cup of blessing. You guard all
that is mine. The land you have
given me is a pleasant land. What
a Wonderful Inheritance (Ps 16:5-6)
I will bless the Lord who has
given me counsel; my heart also
instructs me in the night seasons.
I have set the Lord always before
me; because He is at my right
hand I shall not be moved (v7-8).
You will not leave my soul in Sheol…
You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of Joy.
At Your right hand are pleasures
forevermore (Psa 16:10-11). Amen.
Father God, enable us to walk in the reality that You’re our promised cup of blessing & true inheritance. Grant us deeper understanding of the riches of the glory and inheritance that you have in us. May we leave a rich inheritance of faith, hope and love to those who come after us. Amen.
Lord, thank You for the revelation
that Your inspiration often comes
to us in the very late and very early
hours when we are relaxed. For
when our thoughts aren’t in control,
God’s thoughts can flourish in us.
Lord, as I Patiently wait upon You,
let Your Spirit guide my heart.
Download Your truths, show me solutions to problems, and open
my mind to Your ideas. Amen.
Holy Spirit,I need the joy You give.
Forgive me Lord for the times I let
circumstances control my moods.
Let me experience Your presence
and the thrill of walking with You.
And when I allow You to reign
in my life, You will surely fill me
with Supernatural Joy. And
I’ll Shout to the Lord with Joy!!
