Make Disciples for Kingdom

The events in the final two days of
Jesus’ earthly life carry shadows of
the cross: the anointing in Bethany,
the Passover Observance, Lord’s
Supper, the prayer in Gethsemane.
Jesus is arrested, tried, condemned
executed and placed in a tomb. But
in triumph, Jesus comes forth from
the grave in resurrection power.
The Kings of the Jews Lives again,
a message which His followers
are commissioned to share.

Lord, we’ll Do Your Assignment:
The master replied: You wicked
and lazy servant!… you should
At Least have put my money
into the bank so I could have
some interest (Mt 25:26-27).
Then the eleven disciples went
into Galilee, to the mountain which
Jesus had appointed for them…
And Jesus came to them and said:
All authority has been given to Me..
Go and make disciples of all the
nations… teaching them to obey
everything I have commanded you;
and lo I am With you Always,
even to the end of the age
(Matthew 28:16-20). Amen.

Lord, there is no doubt about
the task You had left for us to do.
Help me step out of comfort zone
to find people who need to know U.
Help me witness to the people You
hv placed in my sphere of influence
Help me in my concern for the lost,
in words, deeds and attitudes.
Help me make disciples for Christ to be like Him & further His Kingdom.
And Help me reflect as one who
has found the answer to life.Amen.

Lord, it’s easy to look at others and
think that I have nothing to offer.
But You have implanted passion
within me and blessed me with gifts
and talents that the world needs.
Help me to see where You God are
at work & watch for opportunities to
join U by sowing seeds of kindness.
Help those seeds to grow & flourish
and thank You for reaping a good
harvest. In Jesus’ precious name.

Lord Jesus, You promise your
followers that You Will Be With
them Always. Though busyness
and activities often disconnect
me from others, it will never
separate me from You Lord. For
Your promise is reliable in a world
where most promises are not.
Thank You Lord for the permanent
nature of Your promise. Amen.

Hope In Faithful God (Sep 20)

In Lamentations prophet Jeremiah
expresses in poetry his emotions
over the tragic fall of Jerusalem.
The book consists of five poems.
The prophet begins by weeping
over Jerusalem in the midst of her
destruction. But through his tears,
Jeremiah turns his heart to view
the sovereign God behind it all.
As he considers God’s Control
of human affairs, Jeremiah is able
to shout victoriously: Great is Thy
faithfulness (3:23) as he intercedes
for the restoration of the nation
after its punishment is complete.

God’s compassion was at work
even when the Israelites were
experiencing the affliction of their
Babylonian conquerors. Although
the people had been unfaithful,
God’s faithfulness was great.
He used this affliction to bring
His people back to Him. One day,
the people will be restored to a true
and fervent relationship with God.
Lord, You are Good & Restorative.
Lord, You are Just & Merciful.
Lord, You are Faithful & Unchanging.
And we praise You in Jesus’ name.

Lord, You are Good & Restorative:
Through the Lord’s mercies
we are not consumed,
because his compassions fail not…
Great is Your Faithfulness…
Therefore I Hope in Him!
The Lord is good to those who
Wait for Him, and seek Him.
It is good that one should Hope
and Wait quietly for the salvation
from the Lord (Lam 3:22-26).
Lord, quiet my heart and mind
so that I am willing to Wait on You;
not with grumbling & frustration
but with hope and assurance.
For You do everything in Your
perfect timing. Give me patience,
and help me Lord to look for Your
answers to the requests I make.
And increase my faith that You
are working, even when I must
Wait for Your answer. Amen.

Lord, You are Just & Merciful:
The precious sons of Zion, valuable
as fine gold, how they are regarded
as clay pots, the work of the hands
of the potter… Because of… the
iniquities of her priests who shed
in her midst the blood of the just…
The face of the Lord scattered them..
Still our eyes… watching vainly for
…a nation that could not save us…
Your punishment will end, Daughter
Zion; He will not prolong Your exile.
(Lamentations 4:2, 13, 16-17, 22).
Lord, noted Judah’s disaster came
because it looked to their alliances
with foreign nations for help rather
than turning to God, and sins of the
people especially religious leaders.
Lord, forgive us for being content
with self-centred existence & false
piety. Inspire us towards a deeper
walk with You and to seek Your face.
Merciful God, grateful that You will
not prolong discipline more than
necessary; that You’re in control and
that there’s hope of restoration.Amen

Lord, You’re Unchanging & Faithful:
Lord, You Remain the Same forever!
Your Throne continues from
generation to generation.
Why do You… forsake us for so
long a time? Turn us back to You
& we will be restored (Lam 5:19-21)
Lord, in midst of Covid pandemic
and natural disasters, we may
wonder at times where are You.
But we praise and exult You Lord
that You are Still on Your throne,
Reigning over all heaven & earth.
And in an ever-changing world,
it’s comforting to remember that
You God does not change, for
You remain the same forever.
Unchanging God, we praise U for
Your Faithfulness & Unfailing love.
You are working out Yr purposes &
You are the reason we hope! Amen
